Really. These Supplementaries are going to be the death of me. I hate writing about myself [when it's not for fun].

Sabz gave me a present for my birthday when she came over yesterday -- she got me the Cruel Intentions DVD and some pajama pants, the dear. Thanks again, Sab. :)

*relaxed sigh* Well, it's good to be free.

As Giles sang in the episode The Yoko Factor two years ago:
" 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now..."

It's nice that exams are over -- now I can have the first of my long weekends -- joys of joys. Now, if I could just get these stupid Supplementaries out of the way....

*sighs* One more exam to go. Then I get a lovely long weekend (yay) in which I should do my Supplementary Applications (doh!). I really don't like studying. Well, at least all I have left is Finite.

I keep forgetting there's still more school after exams ... oh well... maybe I'll do something exciting -- or, I'd settle for slightly interesting -- during the long weekend and the long weekend I have after that or in March Break... *looks hopeful* GAAAAAAH.

Joss Whedon is so the Devil. I mean...Cordy's part-demon now! He's INSANE!! And on top of that...the other abounding insanities on Buffy and Angel are just too numerous to list....... *looks somewhat miffed*

PLUS the Golden Globe Awards are on today...I hope no one I like shows up because I'm not watching it... Hope they win though.

Oh, right -- for my birthday my parents got me the Savage Garden DVD Superstars & Cannonballs and the Lenny Kravitz Greatest Hits album. Yay. :)

Oh, MAN, French is SO friggin' boring! I swear -- it's lucky I didn't have my Accounting and my French exams on the same day because then I would have had to study for them at the same time and then I'd fall asleep for sure... *yawns* (That's a picture of the Aliocha book on the left...)

I'm also still trying to wrap my mind (hah, how's that for visual imagery?) around the idea of me being 19 years old...I mean, how weird is that? (Unfortunately this IS bringing to mind that wretched Ritney-bay song....damn)

*wearily* Anyway...so it's back to the books now... Wish me luck staying awake...

This is what I wrote in my LiveJournal yesterday -- since it pertains to Colorblind as well, I thought I'd post it here, too...

It occurs to me that I have far too many online writing logs...LiveJournal, Blogger, OpenDiary... along with all this I also have an actual diary (i.e., one you write in with a pen) and I sometimes write things in Word documents.

One of these days I should just...consolidate all of these things and make them all one, and all in one place...

Then again -- maybe not. :)

Oh, man I'm glad that I've finished two of my exams already. Yesterday I had my English and Accounting exams. Accounting went pretty well, I think.

Well today is my birthday but it doesn't really feel like it -- seems like I just had a birthday, it's odd, really...

I'm studying for French right now, or trying to anyway...I've got to learn my grammar and vocab for the exam Monday and I have to practice reading a passage from Aliocha for the Oral exam... *sighs*

(Right now I'm listening to Neil Diamond: "Sweet Caroline --bah bah bah-- good times will never be the same...")

Oh, good. I finally just finished re-reading Fifth Business in preparation for the English exam on Friday. I've still got to think about how it connects thematically with A Streetcar Named Desire but we did talk about it a little in class, briefly.

I won't be getting home until about 7 pm tonight -- *sigh* -- oh well.

 Saturday, January 12, 2002

I've been studying Accounting since about 3:00 pm, and let me tell ya -- it's a dry, dry subject. But it's good that I'm reviewing some of the earlier chapters, because I'm not so sure I actually remember to do some of it...Quite the predicament. I'll just keep working, hopefully it'll come back to me.

While I was eating my lunch I watched part of All The Pretty Horses -- it was interesting enough... Haven't been too overly impressed by any of my recent movie viewings -- Harry Potter, Ali, Lord Of The Rings...some were better than others, but still... It's obvious that the people who made these movies worked very hard on them, but none of them left me particularly émue.

I've finally chosen a baby photo for the yearbook -- I have to hand it in tomorrow -- and now I'm editing my grad blurb some more because the more I thought about it, the more it was bothering me -- don't know why, there was just something about it that needed fixing...

The school turns 135 years old this year. That means that when I first started at the school it was 122. Man, it's been a long time.... whew...

Here I am during another spare. On today's menu: Accounting homework from yesterday and brand spankin' new French homework. Buffy was on yesterday and I didn't have time to watch it -- and yes, make fun of my Buffy addiction now, but...you'll see... :)

Note For SuzyQ...

I heard that "Moolah Moolah" song you mentioned the other day. I think "bouncy" was a good adjective for it. :)

PS - I waited after school until 3:50. Guess you had Lit...

School Makes For Monotonous Posts...

Sorry to be boring, but this French homework is just so friggin' tedious. I have to write a summary of the chapter -- I mean, in English I could have probably handled this, but in French, there's just so much more tendency to procrastinate. Maybe because I don't speak the language and I have no natural French grammar skills...at least not anymore...

Geez...we're reading Aliocha in French class, and we've finally just gotten to the climax of the story...in the second last chapter, no less. I mean, it took long enough! *sighs* Oh well. Back to work.

Hmm. It's still my spare but I don't have my French-English dictionary with me to do my French homework. Hmm. Plus, the left side of my head has started to hurt and I have Accounting class next period which is kind of a downer -- AND I have to hand in Sabrina's and my ISU...

Oh, good, it's working today. And I got the Links to look right. And I'm at school right now, but at least I have a spare. Zip-i-dee-do-da.

 Monday, January 07, 2002

I have to go to school tomorrow. Needless to say, this sucks. Entirely. In fact, there is not one good thing about going back to school. I mean, sure, my friends will be there too, but frankly, I'd rather see them somewhere OTHER than the school (a.k.a. the prison). Woe is me.

Well. What else can I say while I'm waiting impatiently for my posts to publish? Um...I downloaded Bridget Jones's Diary on Gnucleus and watched it. Hard to see some of the little details but really not so bad. Cute movie.

Gah! The Blogger server is being very aggravating today -- I keep getting "Sorry, publishing is temporarily unavailable" messages. Urrgh! I'm trying to change the template so that there is a Links section but I don't know if I did it properly yet or not... *sigh*

Welcome! This is the very first post I am writing on my new Blogger Colorblind. I got the name from the song (lyrics) by the Counting Crows -- it's on the soundtrack for Cruel Intentions, which I just watched again recently, so it's the first name I could think of. Anyway...thanks for stopping by, I'll write more soon!
